Osmanth Watch

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 September 2026

Osmanth Watch ("we") reads public web pages on a schedule you choose and emails you when something you're waiting for happens. This page explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

We don't ask for a password or account on the pages you watch. We only watch pages that are public — if a page needs someone to sign in, we tell you we can't watch it.

How we use it

Only to run the service: fetching your pages on schedule, figuring out whether the thing you're waiting for has happened, and emailing you when it has. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Understanding what you want watched

When you describe what to watch (for example, "tell me when the price drops"), we work that out mostly with straightforward rules. In some setups a language model helps with unclear cases, but it never creates a monitor on its own — you always see and confirm what will actually be watched before anything starts.

Sending email

We use a third-party email provider (Resend) to deliver confirmation and alert emails. They process your email address and the message content only to deliver that email. Every alert includes a one-click unsubscribe link that stops all future emails from us and pauses your monitors immediately.

Cookies

We set one cookie to keep you signed in. It isn't used for tracking or advertising, and we don't use any third-party analytics or ad cookies.

How long we keep things

Your account and monitors are kept until you delete your account. Individual check records are kept 90 days and then removed automatically. Deleting your account removes everything tied to you, except anonymous check records kept only for our own cost accounting — these carry no information that identifies you.

Your choices

You can pause or delete any monitor, unsubscribe from all email, or delete your account entirely at any time from the product, or by writing to us below.

Where this applies

Osmanth Watch is used by people in many countries. We aim to handle your information responsibly wherever you're writing to us from, and we'll respond to reasonable requests about your data regardless of where you are.
