Terms of Service

These are the terms for using Osmanth Watch. By using the service, you agree to them.

What the service does

You give us a public web page and describe what you're waiting for. We read that page on a schedule and email you when it happens. We look at pages on a schedule, not continuously — something that happens and goes away between two looks can be missed.

What you can watch

Only public pages that don't require signing in. You're responsible for having the right to look at the page yourself — we act as an automated visitor on your behalf, at the pace a normal visitor would use, and we respect a site's published crawling rules by default.

Plans and limits

The free plan currently allows up to 3 monitors, checked once a day. We may offer paid plans with higher limits in the future; this page will be updated if and when that changes. We may adjust plan limits going forward to keep the service sustainable and fair to everyone using it.

Acceptable use

• Don't use the service to watch pages you don't have the right to access.
• Don't try to use the service to harm, overload, or scrape a site beyond what a single automated visitor checking on a schedule would do.
• Don't use the service for anything illegal, or to monitor pages containing other people's private information without their consent.

We may pause or remove a monitor, or suspend an account, that we reasonably believe breaks these rules.

No guarantee of accuracy or uptime

We try hard to tell you plainly when we can't reliably watch a page, and we mark a monitor as unreliable rather than pretend it's working. But websites change, block automated visitors, or go down without notice, and we can't guarantee a check will always succeed, that an alert will always arrive, or that timing will be exact. Don't rely on Osmanth Watch for anything where a missed or late alert would cause serious harm.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Your account

You're responsible for the email address you give us. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the product, or by writing to us.

Ending the service

You may stop using Osmanth Watch at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice where possible.

Changes to these terms

If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
